first and foremost: I really appreciate you writing something for one of my fandoms, and I'm sure I'll love it! I wrote down some of my thoughts on the shows and characters I requested and a few possible prompts, to give you an idea what I like and hopefully inspire you.[Elementary, Everwood, Shameless (UK)]
Things I love are: happy endings to tragic stories, all kinds of friendship, actions that have consequences, character driven stories, casual sex, comfort sex, quick-witted characters, characters that are torn. Hurt & comfort (as long as it's not too cheesy). Grey areas. I enjoy reading slash/female-slash too, so even if my requests are M/F allusions are always welcome. And I'm okay with any rating, though smut is always appreciated.
Things I don't want to read about are: first or second person POV, a main character's death, sad endings, non-canon character-bashing (even when it's just a minor character), non-consensual sex/abuse that gets romanticized and isn't addressed as what it is. M-preg, A/B/O (or whatever it's called), horror/gore, tentacles, bodily fluids/watersports. Thanks for respecting that!

✿ Elementary (Sherlock Holmes, Morland Holmes, Alistair Moore, Irene Adler/Jamie Moriarty) watch it: ONLINE, ON NETFIX
I've been a big fan of ACD novel's since I was a kid, and I really love Elementary's take on its canon. I pretty much love everything about it, the narration, the characters/actors, how they're portraying relationships and addiction, etc. This year I'm interested in some backstories. Obviously, there is no need to include all of the characters I requsted. Some suggestions:
1.) Something about Alistair and Sherlock's friendship. What exatly happened when Sherlock showed up at Alistair's doorstep high after Irene was (allegedly) murdered?
2.) Or, I'd love to read anything exploring Moriarty's backstory: How did she built her empire? Who is the father of her child? And why did she keep it? Was Sherlock the first men she started a relationship with to figure him out and invented a woman for? Was she ever tempted to get real with someone?
3.) Sherlock and his father. I'm really exited about the appearance of Morland this season, and would love something exploring his and Sherlock's relationship. Was it always this strained or did something happen? Where does "Dad never shows," come from? What happened to Sherlock's mum? etc.
I'd love to read something exploring any of these questions!
✿ Everwood (Amy Abbott, Ephram Brown) ONLINE
This show was my first real fandom obsession and I still re-watch it when I'm feeling down. It was a great watch, very character driven and well paced. Every storyline seemed to be done with care and consideration. I don't think there is a single character I don't like, so feel free to include whatever you feel like!
Ephram & Amy are one of the first couples I ever shipped, and there are a few things I'd like to see explored:
1.) I'd love to see something that takes place during their two weeks in NY. Without all the drama (school, parents, college) around. How much did Amy learn about Ephram's life before he moved to Everwood? Did they live with his grandparents? How awkward would that have been etc. Just keep it light and cute.
2.) What happened to them (and whoever else you want to include) after the show ended? Did they make it work? Did they get married and have kids eventually? Did they stay in Everwood or move away? What about their jobs, did Ephram stick to becoming a piano teacher? What did Amy end up doing? etc.
3.) Or, I'd love to read something that explored the storyline about Ephram's son and the adoption. There is this quote from 4x12, that stayed with me for a long time after the show ended:
Ephram: I don't know what I'm doing with this Kyle thing. Forcing him to do this thing has turned out to be more of a nightmare than even I could have imagined. The gu-the guy didn't even show up.
Andy: Oh no, I'm sorry Ephram.
Ephram: I'm the one who should be sorry. You were right, I just ended up making it worse for Kyle.
Andy: You didn't. His father might have.
Ephram: Yeah, but if I hadn't pushed him, then he never would have known what a jerk his father was. Now it's like he has to deal with it.
Andy: Well, he's going to have to deal with it eventually. At least he had you there when it happened. Maybe you helped to cushion the blow.
Ephram: I just, I don't know if you can cushion something like this. I mean, who does that? Who abandons their son right before they head into the most confusing time of their life?
Andy: I don't know.
Ephram: That's what he's going to think. The baby. My baby. He's going to think that I abandoned him.
Andy: Is that what this has all been about?
Ephram: I don't know. Maybe. I mean, I saw this kid, who looked like he needed somebody, I thought somehow maybe that should be my responsibility, maybe I eased my guilt a little bit along the way.
Andy: You have nothing to feel guilty about. You didn't abandon anyone. You didn't even know about him.
Ephram: Yeah, I know that, you know that, but he'll never know that, there's nobody there to tell him the truth. All he'll think is that I didn't want him. That I didn't love him. Then one day, he'll come looking for me.
Andy: He might.
Ephram: I think about it all the time. I-It's like it might be ten, twenty years, but I'm always going to be waiting for that knock. And when it comes, I have no idea what I'm going to say.
Andy: You'll just tell him the truth. From the heart.
Ephram: That's weird, missing something that you never even had. Now I know how Kyle must have felt. It's like there's this hole, in my life, and I can't..sometimes I have to make stuff up just to get through the bad times.
Andy: For a while. But then the hole fills up with other things. But it takes some time. And every once in a while you'll remember what caused it. But it won't hurt the same. If anything, it'll just remind you how far you've come.
Ephram: How will I know when that happens?
Andy: I don't know. But I'll be there for you until it does.
What happens when Ephram finally gets that knock on his door?
✿ Shameless UK (Fiona Gallagher, Steve McBride) ONLINE, ON NETFLIX (Steve and Fiona leave at the end of the 2nd season.)
I loved the relationship between Fiona and Steve. And I'd love to read something dealing with Fiona's insecurities and trust issues. I liked how much Steve cared about Fiona's siblings and how integrated into the family he was. And also how he was seemingly very stable and reliable but at the same time a fucking irresponsible car-thief.
I'd also love to read about what happened after they ran away together? Did they adjust well to a life somewhere else? How did they deal with Fiona having another man's baby, how did Fiona cope without her family around? etc.
I know this seems like a lot and really detailed, but it's optional so please don't feel too obligated. I'm sure I'll love whatever you come up with. Thank you so much for writing something for me!
CBS finally released a promo for the 4th season of Elementary (tbh I can't believe the show's been around that long), and it looks great. I'm really curious about how they'll handle the whole Oscar-fiasco and hope we'll see a lot more of Alfredo while it's going on. And I spy: a Sherlock/Joan hug (OMG), John Noble being awesome, Joan looking stunning as usual and a lot of snark:
"Several days ago I nearly killed a man. Depending on the DA’s mood I’ll be sent to prison. Truthfully, I'd rather you not visit me."
"You're not going to prison."
"If you like, we can write letters."
I really hope we'll get a cameo by either Moriarty or Kitty (or both of them) this season. I'm way more exited about the shows return than I was last year and it suck that we have to wait until November...
Also, Joan's step-father has finally been cast. How awesome is that? I can't wait to find out more about her parents and their relationship, especially considering how they left Joan's mum's dementia storyline last season...
What is everyone planning to watch this fall? I feel like a lot of the shows I was passionate about ended last season or won't return for a really long time, or never even got the chance to develope their full potential (still not over what happened to Selfie
), and now I'm in desperate need of some recomendations.
So far I'm only exited about the return of Elementary
, How To Get Away With Murder
(even though it felt weaker on re-watch) and Brooklyn-Nine-Nine
(Bill Hader is guest starring!). I might keep watching Jane the Virgin
(because I generally enjoyed it, but the finale was pretty meh and I'm just over love-triangles at this point) and Grey's
(because, lbr, it's the bad habbit I can't quit).
I have no idea what's new this season. I watched the promos for both Chace and Ed's pilotes and OMG they both look so hilariously bad that I might have to check them out for the lolz. I'm still surprised those two where the ones, out of everyone on Gossip Girl, who landed new shows on ABC.Chace's
is some sort of rich people family drama but also looks like a cheap Revenge knock-off (and aparently there's lots of blood and oil involved), idek? It seems very dramatic, which coud be terrible but also fun. A part of me is just really happy that Chace is finally pretty again.Ed's
looks way worse imo. For something that is supposed to take place in the 80s, it looks too modern and too 80s at the same time. But I guess Ed as a serial killer, who prays on young women and kills them but is also a surprisingly good babysitter, will probably resonate really well with the Chuck Bass stans that are still left.
I also saw that the US version of Shameless is on Netflix so I might give that a try, I just don't know if I can get used to someone other than Anne-Marie Duff and James McAvoy as Fiona and Steve.
